Alex Bass

Alex joined the team as an auctioneer’s apprentice in 2023 and quickly became the youngest licensed auctioneer at Lion and Unicorn. With a personal interest in modern art and decorative ceramics, her passion is fueled by the different techniques, meanings, and stories behind each piece that crosses the auction floor.

Growing up in South Florida gave her a unique insight into the variance of what the world considers to be art. There was always something new to explore which challenged her perspective; from a new exhibit to see at the local galleries, or new graffiti to gaze upon and ponder “how did they get up there and still manage to be so precise?”. This love for art drew Alex into the mystifying auction industry, where she found a space in the world that is full of history, whimsy, and magnificent objects.

As an auctioneer, her scope of work expands past the podium. When she is not in front of the camera, Alex is helping people find solutions to downsizing, re-homing, or liquidating their collections. She aims to make what can be a difficult time into a smooth and successful endeavor. Drawing inspiration from the ever-growing community around her and learning from those who came before her, Alex set her mind to making her own mark on the industry and the world around her.
