Christopher Evans

Royal Doulton Specialist

Christopher Evans passion for antiques and collectables was fostered by his family when he was still a teenager and despite careers in law and education, it is the world of Royal Doulton that has been a  constant in his life over the last three decades. Although this early interest covered many aspects of antiques from furniture to silver, jewelry and pottery, it is the latter that captured his imagination and heart and in particular the many and varied products of the Royal Doulton company.

Author, consultant, lecturer and specialist – Christopher’s passion for Royal Doulton has taken him all over the world and he is a regular contributor to Whitley’s Auctioneers’ catalogs and events where he is on hand to offer guidance and support to prospective purchasers and interested parties, and is always willing to share his passion for collecting.

Christopher is the editor of the Doulton Collectors Club magazine, the only specialist publication devoted to the subject and as well as managing the Club’s many online platforms, he has also written books on the varied Royal Doulton wares produced over the last 200 years.

He is also responsible for organizing annual collectors’ events in the UK which typically culminate in a Royal Doulton Fair and Exhibition, which attract great international interest, with collectors from around the world organizing their calendars around these events!
