The lost techniques of fired ceramic arts comes to spectacular life at Whitley’s Auctioneers.
Whitley’s head auctioneer and founder, Arron Rimpley, is honored to present the private collection of Open Salts from the estate of world renowned Royal Doulton collector, Elaine Cooper, expert and author of the book Doulton Open Salts.
The auction also includes Royal Doulton Flambé manufactured under the supervision of Charles Noke in the early 20th century and rare, otherworldly Fairyland Lustre produced at Wedgwood’s Etruria Works ceramics factory in Stoke-on-Trent, by artist Daisy Makeig-Jones. Some of the rarest Royal Doulton Figures from three of the most important private collections in the United States are also for sale.
