Lion and Unicorn, one of South Florida’s largest auction houses, first Collectors Weekend of the New Year kicks off at noon Friday, January 18th. 2019 from 12pm to 5pm. 

On Saturday, January 19th:  You can bid live at our auction. Part 1 of the auction begins at 10am EST, with lunch will served from 2pm to 3pm for registered bidders.Part 2 begins at 3pm EST.

Whitley’s founder, Arron Rimpley, is honored to present the Private Collection of Open Salts from the estate of world renowned Royal Doulton collector, Elaine Cooper, expert and author of the book Doulton Open Salts. 

The auction also includes Royal Doulton Flambé manufactured under the supervision of Charles Noke in the early 20th Century and rare, otherworldly Fairyland Lustre produced at Wedgwood’s Etruria Works ceramics factory in Stoke-on-Trent ca. 1910-1930, by artist Daisy Makeig-Jones. Some of the rarest Royal Doulton Figures ever to come to market are also for sale, from three of the most important private collections in the United States.

We would would like to thank Louise Irvine, the Executive Director of the Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts in Hollywood, FL for sharing her vast knowledge and research to highlight some of the Royal Doulton, Wedgwood and Boehm pieces featured in this auction catalog.
