Chasin a Dream’s Mission
The mission of Chasin A Dream Foundation is to provide individualized, life-changing, assistance to families with children battling cancer, cystic fibrosis, and other life-threatening illnesses and disabilities.
What began as a local grassroots movement to assist these children during the holidays has grown into an established non profit organization. Founder, Lori Griffith, had worked in the healthcare industry for the past 18 years, giving her a first hand look at what these children and their families face on a day to day basis. Lori wanted to be able to make more of a direct impact by providing life-changing assistance year round so she dedicated herself to building Chasin A Dream Foundation, based on her belief in community and Locals Helping Locals.
“It’s local people and local businesses helping local children that builds a strong community,” says Griffith, whose organization focuses on Palm Beach and Martin counties. Her hope one day is to expand.
“If you had asked me ten years ago if I would be here, I would have said say ‘no,’ but it’s probably what I have been working toward my whole life. If you can see a difference you make in someone’s life, it’s the best feeling in the world.” – Lori Griffith, Chasin A Dream Foundation
